Course Level and Curriculum:

The course has been designed to meet the Elementary Level of English (A2) as per CEFR (The Common European Framework of Reference)

Course Highlights:

The G4 English lesson incorporates literary analysis, writing, grammar, and vocabulary into one course. While it’s important for students to enjoy reading, and they will have reading time set aside for it, they will also start conducting literature analysis to assess a tale’s strengths and faults, the author’s competence in telling the story, and how to use comparable writing techniques in their writing. Students will engage in a variety of activities that promote creativity, critical thinking, and effective communication.

 

Course Description:

An English as a second language course teaches individuals to speak, read, and write in English and often tends to provide information on the cultural components of English-speaking countries. As an international language, knowing how to speak English means you can talk to people from many walks of life. It also provides you with an opportunity to use the language in business.

Taking an English as a second language course online means you can study wherever you want to do so. You can even take it as a course for your free time, giving you the ability to focus on other things.

The syllabus allows pupils to read for pleasure by alternating between reading and writing throughout the school year. Additionally, students will notice a methodical improvement in their writing, grammatical, and vocabulary abilities. What Will You Learn?

  • Understand and extract information from texts, including fiction and non-fiction.
  • Identify main ideas, and supporting details, and infer meaning.
  • Recognise and understand different genres of literature.
  • Expand vocabulary by learning new words and their meanings.

  • Apply new vocabulary in writing and speaking.
  • Develop basic writing skills including sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation.

Course Content

Unit 1: Health and Cleanliness
This unit includes different topics, reading comprehension on health and cleanliness, oral communication, noun, pronoun, study skills, fun, games, activities, and quizzes. These topics have different kinds of activities also by completing this unit students will be able to maintain hygiene by practicing good habits that prevent diseases and lead to good health, and identify noun and pronoun in different sentences.

Unit 2: Safety
This unit includes different topics, reading comprehension on stay safe, oral communication, present simple and continuous tense, poems, games, activities, and quizzes. These topics have different kinds of activities also by completing this unit students will be able to stay safe and follow safety rules and, use correct grammar in different writing practices.

Unit 3: Children of Pakistan
This unit includes different topics, reading comprehension on postcards, writing a paragraph, WH questions, games, activities, and quizzes. These topics have different kinds of activities also by completing this unit students will be able to write postcards to friends and answer WH questions.

Unit 4: Land Reforms
This unit includes different topics, reading comprehension on land reforms, oral communication, speech bubbles, adjectives and degrees of adjectives, games, activities, and quizzes. These topics have different kinds of activities also by completing this unit students will be able to understand land reforms and use speech bubbles in writing conversations and thoughts.

Unit 5: Taking care of the Family
This unit includes different topics, reading comprehension on my family, writing an informal invitation, past simple tense, stories, poems, games, activities, and quizzes. These topics have different kinds of activities also by completing this unit students will be able to love their family more, write informal invitation by using correct grammar and, enjoy different moral stories and poems.
